The Nissan GT-R (R35) is a high-performance sports car and grand tourer, often nicknamed “Godzilla” for its reputation of dominating more expensive European supercars on the racetrack. Despite its production history dating back to 2007, it has undergone numerous significant mechanical and design updates, allowing it to maintain competitive performance figures. It is designed as a 2-door, 2+2 seater coupe combining extreme speed with everyday usability. The face is dominated by a large grille, which in later models (2017 facelift onwards) is enlarged to facilitate increased airflow for better engine cooling. The front features full LED headlights with a distinctive lighting signature. NISMO models feature more aggressive aerodynamics, a larger carbon fiber rear wing, and additional carbon fiber elements on the hood and roof for weight reduction and increased downforce.
