The BMW X1 and the BMW iX1 are two closely related compact SUVs from BMW. They share the same body and interior design, but they are fundamentally different in what powers them. The X1 is available with a variety of traditional combustion engines (petrol and diesel) and plug-in hybrids, while the iX1 is the fully electric version. This “power of choice” philosophy allows BMW to offer a familiar and popular vehicle design to a wide range of customers, regardless of their preferred powertrain.

The interiors are virtually identical, showcasing a progressive and premium feel. The centerpiece is the BMW Curved Display, a single, curved panel that houses both the digital instrument cluster and the central infotainment touchscreen. The “floating” center console and a minimalistic design with a significant reduction in physical buttons give the cabin a modern, uncluttered look.
